Hi Ellie, do you have a favorite quote or affirmation?
“Being Deeply Loved Gives You Strength; Loving Deeply Gives You Courage” by Lao Tzu. Loving someone deeply and giving them everything that you are provides you with the assurance that no matter what happens around you, there is that person there who loves you for who you are and who you want to be. When you don’t allow yourself to be who you are, you cannot be truly loved and the thought of that is very sad. I can accept challenges as they come in my life knowing that I have the love and support of my family and friends.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Ellie Renee is art! Everyday I find ways to demonstrate the beauty found within; within a completely normal (or maybe extraordinary) wife, professional, sometimes silly and clumsy woman. Initially the challenge was to overcome a fear of acceptance. Would the digital world overlook me? Would I be pushed aside and criticized for not fitting some unknown standard that no one can really reach? Can I pick myself up when I find failure? Maybe I continue to battle internally to give myself the confidence to continue. Everyday is a new challenge and by fully committing myself to be creative and strive for strength, beauty and not lose the silly or even clumsy me, I can overcome each challenge. Just one at a time please.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I am a total home body. After work you will find me in my comfy clothes and relaxing. The best place on Earth, my couch with Netflix and a Poke bowl followed by mint chip ice cream from Ben and Jerry’s. Get ready for binge watching Criminal Minds followed by Ozark. Maybe we should start with Ozark, it has less seasons/episodes. When we are tired of TV, I know some really good thrift shops so we need to head to lower Greenville and start the bargain hunt!

The love and support of my husband means everything to me. Without him, nothing would be the same.
